苔むした竹の門、枝越しにのぞく紅葉の彩り。第一歩を踏み入れた瞬間から、心がすっと落ち着いていくような感覚に包まれます。

I visited Enrian Temple in Kyoto’s Sagano area during its limited autumn special opening.
Usually closed to the public, this hidden temple reveals itself only in the season of crimson leaves — and I was fortunate to witness that fleeting moment.
The moss-covered entrance, framed by branches glowing with autumn colors, instantly set the tone for a serene and unforgettable visit.
庭の片隅に置かれた石鉢には、長い年月を経て苔が柔らかく覆い、まるで自然と一体になったかのような佇まいを見せています。
苔むした器の静かな存在感は、紅葉の鮮やかさとは対照的で、厭離庵らしい「わび・さび」を強く感じさせてくれました。

茶室へと導く路地の片隅には、ひっそりとした静けさが漂っていました。
苔むした竹垣に寄り添うようにシダが茂り、控えめな椿の葉がしっとりと影を落としています。
華やかな紅葉とは対照的に、ここには「静の美」が宿っており、厭離庵のもう一つの顔を見せてくれました。

厭離庵の特別拝観は、紅葉の華やかさと苔むす静けさが共存する、まさに「秋の宝物」のようなひとときでした。
